Shape:
Spelling: ਭੱਬਾ
Sound: 'bh' as the 'bh' in the words 'abhor' and 'subheading' when you say them out aloud.
Type: Consonant

Mouth: Make a 'b' shape with your mouth
Tongue: Kept out of the way.
Soft Palette: blocking nose
Lips: closed
Vocal Chords: Used. Note that this letter requires you to raise the pitch of your voice when you say the letter. This (ਧ) is equivalent to ਦ੍ਹ. See Other Bits for more details.
Aspirated: yes

Confusion: ਤ ਡ ਭ
Reading: ਡ, ਤ and ਭ can all be confused with each other although reading them isn't quite such an issue as remembering which one to write:
ਡ (Diddaa) has the loop at the bottom;
ਤ (Tattaa) has no loop; and,
ਭ (Bhabhaa) has the loop in the middle.
You have been warned.
Writing: ਡ, ਤ and ਭ can all be confused with each other although you soon get used to it:
ਡ (Diddaa) has the loop at the bottom;
ਤ (Tattaa) has no loop; and,
ਭ (Bhabhaa) has the loop in the middle.
