ਔ This is aerdaa with a kanaurdaa.
ਕੌ When writing, make the kanaurdaa curved as you did with the hordaa but when you get the the end of the hordaa part, you can either draw the little line from around half way along it, down to the bottom (same height as the bottom of the hordaa part) or, you can, as shown here, draw a little curve. The latter is quicker because you are not taking your pen off the paper and then having to relocate it.

This one is 90 per cent the 'au' sound that you get in 'Paul' and 10 percent the static sound at the beginning of 'oh'. An 'au' with just a hint of 'oh'. |
